Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has said that his side's 2-0 victory over Sunderland this afternoon is "a very big" step towards winning the Premier League title.
Jamie Vardy scored twice at the Stadium of Light to fire the Foxes 10 points clear at the top of the table and to within nine of their first ever league crown.
Second-placed Tottenham Hotspur will look to close that gap back to seven when they host Manchester United this afternoon, and Drinkwater is hopeful that Leicester's win will increase the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino's side.
"We've got a few games left. It's a step but a very big one," he told Sky Sports News.
"It this puts more pressure on them then perfect but I can't see Tottenham putting too much on this. It's up to them now. The fans here are brilliant, and credit to the lads we deserved that."
Leicester have now won five consecutive top-flight games for the first time in 52 years.
