Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld will not make any decisions on his future until a new manager is appointed, according to a report.
The 32-year-old struggled for consistent starts under Jose Mourinho earlier in the campaign, but he has played the full 90 minutes in all four of Spurs' Premier League matches under interim boss Ryan Mason.
Alderweireld's deal with Tottenham is not due to expire until the end of the 2022-23 season, but he has been linked with a move back to former club Ajax as well as a return to his homeland with Club Brugge.
According to Voetbal 24, Brugge are keen to welcome the defender back to Belgium, but he is waiting to see who assumes office in North London before deciding on his next career move.
The report adds that Alderweireld may be open to playing 'closer to home', but even if he does decide to call time on his Tottenham career, it remains to be seen if a transfer back to Belgium would be feasible.
Alderweireld has scored nine goals in 234 appearances for Tottenham since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2015, with one of those strikes coming in February's 3-0 win over Leeds United. body check tags ::
