Barcelona have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane as the perfect long-term replacement for current starting striker Luis Suarez.
Suarez has scored 162 times since arriving at Camp Nou in 2014, but the Uruguay international will be 32 in January, and Barcelona are already said to be looking to the future.
According to the Daily Star, the Spanish champions have identified Kane as their number one target and are prepared to pay a world-record sum in order to bring the England captain to Camp Nou.
Kane has again been in fine form for Tottenham this season, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions in 20 matches in all competitions.
The 25-year-old, who is contracted to the English club until the end of the 2023-24 campaign, has registered 153 goals in 233 Tottenham appearances since stepping into the first team.
