Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale is worthy of an £85m price tag.
The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with a move for the Wales international, who is said to have requested talks with Madrid representatives.
"We're talking about a player who, frankly, is among the three or four best in Europe, and it is normal to talk about him," Goal.com quotes Casillas as saying. "It's normal that people talk about him because he has great qualities."
When asked if Madrid should break the world transfer record for the Welshman, Casillas said: "That's how the market is.
"All signings are controversial for better or for worse, but we are talking about a decisive and very good player. Before the transfer window closes I'm sure there are could be some activity."
Tottenham have been adamant that Bale is not for sale this summer.
