Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has allegedly been offered a £90,000-per-week contract to join Major League Soccer side Toronto FC.
The Canadian outfit is hoping to sign the 31-year-old in January, but faces competition from Queens Park Rangers, according to The Mirror.
Toronto FC coach Ryan Nelsen, a former teammate of Defoe's, is said to have made an informal offer to the player over the summer, only to be rebuffed.
Defoe has scored eight goals in all competitions for Spurs this season, but remains behind Roberto Soldado in the pecking order.
