Dele Alli is reportedly unaware as to why he was left out of the squad by Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho for their most recent Premier League match against Leicester City.
The England international made substitute appearances in Spurs' last two league matches against Crystal Palace and Liverpool but was not in the squad for the 2-0 defeat to the Foxes.
Last weekend was the 10th time in 14 Premier League games this season that Mourinho has decided not to name the 24-year-old as part of Tottenham's 20-man matchday squad.
Alli, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, has become surplus to requirements under the Portuguese boss, having made just four league appearances so far this season, with his last start coming on the opening day of the season against Everton.
With Euro 2020 taking place next summer, the midfielder is aware that he will need regular minutes if he is to be picked by England manager Gareth Southgate.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Alli has been given no indication of what the club plan to do with him, or whether they want him to leave.
