League One side Doncaster Rovers have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur forward Jonathan Obika on loan.
The 23-year-old is likely to again be available on loan next term after several seasons in the lower leagues.
Rovers boss Paul Dickov has revealed that initial discussions have taken place.
"Jonathan's a player I've admired for a long time," the Doncaster Free Press quotes Dickov as saying.
"I've watched him since he was 16-year-old at Tottenham and he's a player I know a lot about.
"There have been preliminary discussions, but that's about as far as it's gone at the moment."
Last season, Obika played for both Charlton Athletic and Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship.
