Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen has confirmed that he is considering his options ahead of his contract expiration this summer.

The 30-year-old joined the Bees on a short-term deal until the end of the season back in January, following his release from Inter Milan.

As a result of his contract situation, the Dane is free to move to other clubs in the upcoming transfer window, with former club Tottenham Hotspur one of several clubs heavily linked with a move for the midfielder.

Eriksen has revealed that he would love to play Champions League football again in the final years of his career, as well as confirming that he has options on the table.

Speaking to Viaplay, Eriksen said: "I do not think that there are some football players who can just pick and choose between clubs, because there are many criteria that come into play. There are also many clubs that need to see one's path before that happens.

"I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then we make a decision. I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn't essential for me."

After suffering a cardiac arrest at last summer's European Championships with Denmark, Eriksen was fitted with a defibrillator before recovering to full fitness, which forced him out of Inter due to Serie A rules regarding such a device.

Following his move to West London with Brentford, Eriksen has gone on to make 10 Premier League appearances so far, impressing with his return of one goal and four assists to help the Bees to safety. body check tags ::
