Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen is reportedly hopeful that Real Madrid will finally sign him during the January transfer window.
Madrid were strongly linked with a swoop for the Denmark international during the summer, but the playmaker ultimately remained with Mauricio Pochettino's side.
Spurs are said to have offered the 27-year-old a new £230,000-a-week contract in a bid to convince him to sign a new long-term deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, according to Marca, Eriksen is not prepared to extend his stay in the English capital, with the attacker holding out for a switch to the Bernabeu at the start of 2020.
Eriksen's current deal with Tottenham will expire at the end of the season, and therefore the Dane would be free to sign a pre-contract with an overseas club in January.
