Everton have reportedly finalised a deal with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli late on deadline day.
Following the appointment of Frank Lampard as manager, the Toffees were said to have identified the Englishman as their prime target for the January window.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Merseyside outfit have now come close to completing a permanent deal for the 25-year-old, with no other clubs set to join the race in the dying embers.
After being confirmed as the new boss at the beginning of Deadline Day, Lampard has already seen his squad bolstered with the loan capture of midfielder Donny van de Beek from Manchester United, with Everton now said to see Alli as their final piece of business for the winter window.
The 37-cap England international has featured 10 times for the Lilywhites in the Premier League this campaign, with Antonio Conte reportedly willing to let him depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium permanently in January.
Since arriving in North London from MK Dons in 2015, Alli has made 269 appearances for Tottenham, netting 67 goals and providing 61 assists in that time, with 37 goals and 29 assists coming from his first three Premier League seasons. body check tags ::
