Heurelho Gomes is likely to leave Tottenham in January after being replaced as number one goalie by new signing Brad Friedel.
Gomes was not even on the bench for Saturday’s 0-2 win over Wolves, but Spurs boss Harry Redknapp denied that he had handed the Brazilian keeper a demotion.
"I've not bombed out Gomes and made him number three keeper but we decided Carlo Cudicini would be better on the bench," Redknapp said.
However, the Spurs gaffer also confirmed that Gomes is looking to move on.
"He's not happy and he's eyeing a January move. If the chance comes for him to play elsewhere, I'm sure he'll take it."
Gomes signed for Tottenham from PSV Eindhoven in 2008 for a fee of £8m.
