Inter Milan have reportedly informed Tottenham Hotspur that they are prepared to increase their offer for Christian Eriksen.
With the playmaker having less than six months remaining on his contract, Spurs are prepared to part ways with the Denmark international in January.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter have made a new bid of £11m for Eriksen as they look to tempt Spurs into accepting a cut-price fee.
However, it is claimed that the Premier League giants are currently refusing to budge on the valuation of £17m, aware that more clubs could opt to involve themselves in the race for the 27-year-old's signature.
Spurs are also said to be open to keeping Eriksen for the rest of the campaign, hoping that one of their key players can rediscover his form over the coming months.
Eriksen has contributed just three goals and three assists from 23 outings in England's top flight and the Champions League since August.
