Aston Villa are reportedly planning to offer Jack Grealish a new contract which will include a £60m release clause.
Grealish was heavily linked with a move away from his boyhood club throughout the summer transfer window, and at one stage it looked as though Villa would have no option but to cash in due to their financial issues.
Those concerns have since been eased, though, and The Express reports that Villa are instead looking to tie the midfielder down to a longer-term contract now.
A £60m release clause would likely price Tottenham Hotspur out of a move for Grealish given that they were unwilling to meet Villa's £40m asking price during the summer transfer window.
Grealish has spent his entire career with Villa, making more than 100 senior appearances for the club.
