AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen has revealed that his proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur is "almost complete".
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to White Hart Lane this summer, but yesterday AZ sporting director Max Huiberts insisted that Spurs were yet to meet the club's asking price.
However, negotiations have since advanced and Janssen is looking forward to joining up with his new club.
"I am glad that it is now almost complete. For me it was from the beginning that I wanted to go Spurs," he told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.
"It is a beautiful club with a fantastic new stadium and heaps of potential. Anyone in my shoes, would make this step."
Janssen topped the scoring charts in the Eredivisie last season with 27 goals.
