Jermaine Jenas believes that Queens Park Rangers should attempt to sign Emmanuel Adebayor from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 30-year-old striker has been linked with a loan move to Loftus Road after falling out of favour under Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Jenas, who has played for both QPR and Spurs during his career, believes that Hoops manager Harry Redknapp can get the controversial forward performing again.
"I would take a risk on Emmanuel Adebayor," Jenas told BBC Sport.
"Harry Redknapp has got the best out of him in the past and they are in a situation where they can't buy anybody. Loan deals are the only option.
"I don't think Adebayor would ever go permanently to QPR. The wages will be split and I'd take a punt on him. It could keep you in the league."
It is thought that the Togolese is earning around £100,000 per week at White Hart Lane.
