Juventus could reportedly be open to selling winger Samuel Iling-Junior in the January transfer window amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 20-year-old, born in London, began his youth career with Chelsea before moving to Italian giants Juve in September 2020.

Iling-Junior initially starred for Juve's Under-19s side, contributing with 14 goals and 15 assists in 58 appearances before making his senior debut for the Serie A club in 2022.

The youngster enjoyed a breakthrough season under Massimiliano Allegri in 2022-23, featuring 18 times across all competitions, but he has since struggled for regular game time in the current campaign.

Indeed, Iling-Junior has only made four substitute appearances for the first team this term, with the likes of Federico Chiesa, Moise Kean, Filip Kostic, Timothy Weah and Andrea Cambiaso all preferred ahead of him in the pecking order.

A recent report claims that Tottenham have expressed an interest in Iling-Junior, and the Premier League club have seemingly received a boost in their pursuit of the youngster.

According to Football Insider, Juventus could consider a January sale of the England Under-21 international, but they will hold out for an "attractive" offer from potential suitors.

Juve are believed to be in a precarious position financially following their points deduction in Serie A last season, and they could be forced to part ways with a number of first-team players to balance their books.

Iling-Junior extended his Juve contract in December last year, but he will enter the final year of his deal at the end of this season.

Tottenham's reported interest in Iling-Junior comes at a time when manager Ange Postecoglou is currently light of attacking options in his first-team squad due to a number of injuries.

Earlier this month, Brazilian attacker Richarlison underwent groin surgery and he is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines along with Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic, who are nursing knee injuries.

Following the summer sale of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, Postecoglou has regularly used Son Heung-min as a central striker, and the South Korean has impressed having scored eight goals in 12 Premier League appearances so far this season.

Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Bryan Gil and Alejo Veliz are other attacking options at Postecogou's disposal, although the latter two have barely featured under the Australian boss this term. body check tags ::
