Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reportedly views Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as the ideal replacement for Sergio Aguero.
Kane had injury problems during the 2019-20 campaign but still managed 24 goals in 34 appearances for Spurs, while he has now struck 188 times in 287 outings for his current club in total.
According to The Sun, Guardiola regards Kane as his first-choice target to ultimately take Aguero's spot, but the Spaniard accepts that 'it would be impossible' to sign the England captain this summer.
As a result, the Citizens are said to be focusing their attentions on Lautaro Martinez, who enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Inter Milan, scoring 21 times in 49 appearances in all competitions.
Barcelona are also believed to be desperate to sign the Argentina international, though, meaning that City could potentially miss out on their two leading attacking targets this summer.
Earlier this year, Kane admitted that he could look to leave Tottenham in the near future if he felt that the club are no longer heading in the right direction.
