The father of Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela has confirmed that his son is negotiating with Inter Milan as his troubled Spurs spell nears an end.
The Argentine, 23, has struggled to hit the heights expected of him since securing a £30m move to North London from Roma in 2013, netting eight goals in two years.
Speculation is rife that Inter coach Roberto Mancini has offered him an escape route, and Jose Lamela - also his agent - confirms that a San Siro switch looks on the cards.
"We're talking with Inter, their interest is real," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We're waiting for some news, we are willing to start a negotiation. We would come back in Serie A and we like Inter option."
Lamela, whose contract expires in 2018, has clocked 43 Premier League appearances overall.
