Leeds United are reportedly determined to win the race to sign Freiburg defender Robin Koch.
With Brighton & Hove Albion having no interest in parting ways with previous Leeds loanee Ben White, the Championship winners have been forced to look at alternatives to the Englishman.
According to The Sun, this has resulted in Marcelo Bielsa taking a strong interest in highly-regarded centre-back Koch.
The 24-year-old, who is a former Germany Under-21 international, made a total of 32 appearances in the Bundesliga during the most recent campaign.
Due to Koch having less than a year remaining on his contract, Freiburg want to part ways with the defensive-minded player this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are among the clubs who are said to be monitoring the situation.
