Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric will reportedly pen an extension at Bernabeu until June 2023 despite talk of a potential return to the Premier League.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have both been credited with an interest in the Croatian, who will be out of contract at the end of June.
However, the 36-year-old has again been a vital player for Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing two goals and five assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid consider Modric to be 'untouchable' and will soon announce that he has signed an extension until June 2023.
Romano claims that it is only 'a matter of time', with both parties already agreeing fresh terms on a deal that will keep him at Bernabeu for one more campaign.
Modric has missed six La Liga matches this season through injury and illness but has started each of Real Madrid's last four league games, including the 1-0 win over Granada on February 6. body check tags ::
