Real Madrid have reportedly informed Tottenham Hotspur that they are willing to discuss a deal for Gareth Bale.
While Spurs have been linked with a reunion with the Wales international, agent Jonathan Barnett has dismissed the possibility of a loan deal being agreed.
However, according to The Telegraph, Real are open to speaking with the Premier League outfit regarding a potential transfer.
The report adds that Los Blancos have strong doubts about reaching a positive resolution with Spurs, who require a new frontman this month.
In order for any deal to materialise, Real would likely have to lower their valuation and continue to pay a percentage of the 30-year-old's wages.
Bale has previously indicated that he is willing to see out the remaining two-and-a-half years of his contract.
