Crystal Palace have reportedly moved ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.
The Scot will be out of contract at the end of June as things stand, and a number of fellow Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in his signature.
Fraser himself would prefer a move to North London, however The Express reports that Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is not convinced of the 26-year-old's pedigree for a club competing for a Champions League place.
Palace are now considered the front-runners to capture Fraser and manager Roy Hodgson, who signed a new one-year-deal with the club in March, has been promised that the club will look to significantly strengthen their squad in the summer.
Bournemouth have not given up hope of tying Fraser down to a new and improved contract but are aware that they are at risk of losing him for free if they fail to do so.
Fraser has made a big impact for the Cherries in recent seasons, with the winger providing 14 assists last campaign and a further four this term before the Premier League was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
