Mauricio Pochettino has dodged questions regarding the uncertain future of Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld by claiming that he is "not involved" in ongoing contract talks.
The 28-year-old has reportedly reached an impasse with Spurs chiefs regarding the offer of an extended deal, supposedly due to his hefty £150,000-a-week demands.
Alderweireld could therefore be sold by the Lilywhites in the summer, according to reports in the British press, as his valuation will likely rapidly decline.
Spurs boss Pochettino was unwilling to give much away when asked about suggestions that talks have stalled, however, telling reporters at his weekly press conference: "It is not my job and I cannot say anything about that.
"I am not involved in negotiations. I never talk about rumours, what the media say or what happens around the club."
Alderweireld, whose current terms are due to expire at the end of next season, joined Tottenham from Atletico Madrid for an undisclosed fee in July 2015.
