Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that another of his players is on the verge of agreeing a new deal with the club.
Spurs have been working hard to tie their players down to new contracts since the closure of the transfer window, with Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Tom Carroll all committing their futures to the club this month.
Kyle Walker is the latest to have joined that list having signed a five-year deal earlier today, and Pochettino promised that there are still more to come.
"Always it's important for the club. It's very important for the players too," he told reporters.
"They show a big commitment with the club and that's very important for the future. I am happy they show commitment with us.
"I promise you, in the next few days there will appear another player (signing a new contract) in the media."
Jan Vertonghen and Erik Lamela are both understood to be in talks with the club over contract extensions.
