Erik Lamela wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur on loan in the January transfer window, according to a report.
The former Roma player joined in the summer for a club-record fee of £30m, but is now keen to depart in order to maintain his hopes of playing for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup.
The Mirror claims that Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are interested, although Spurs want Lamela to stay and believe that he is capable of making an impact in the Premier League.
The newspaper also suggests that Lamela was signed by chairman Daniel Levy without the approval of former manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Earlier this week it was reported that Juventus are also considering launching a loan bid.
