Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has not been put off by Tottenham Hotspur's £15m valuation of Andros Townsend, according to reports.
The 23-year-old winger has been linked with a move to Villa Park in recent weeks, but reports had suggested that Sherwood was not willing to meet Spurs' asking price.
However, Sherwood's determination to land the midfielder means that a £15m deal is still possible, according to The Mirror.
Sherwood worked with the England international during his time at White Hart Lane, and is rumoured to be a big admirer of Townsend.
However, Villa's lack of European football is thought to be a stumbling block in any potential move, the newspaper adds.
