Tottenham Hotspur have told Swansea City that they will have to pay £5m if they want to sign Tom Carroll on a permanent basis, according to reports.
The 22-year-old midfielder has started six Premier League games and made 15 appearances in total during a loan spell at the Liberty Stadium this season.
Garry Monk feels that he fits in well with Swansea's style of play and would like to recruit him on a long-term basis, with Spurs seemingly willing to do business this month.
The Welsh outfit have apparently already agreed a £5m fee for Tottenham full-back Kyle Naughton, with the move expected to be sealed this week, and The Independent claims that Carroll will demand a similar fee.
Carroll, who has previously been on loan at Leyton Orient, Derby County and Queens Park Rangers, has played 23 times for Spurs since debuting in 2011, but has never started for them in the Premier League.
