Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted a £7m offer for FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli.
Following the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is poised to switch to a 4-3-3 formation and is looking to add to his wide options.
He had hoped to recruit David Villa from Barcelona and employ him on the left flank, but Spain's all-time leading goalscorer joined Atletico Madrid earlier this week.
That has forced the Lillywhites to explore other options and Sky Sports News understands that the Portuguese tactician has identified Belgian international Chadli as a possible alternative.
The 23-year-old has scored 25 goals in 75 starts for Twente since signing for them in 2010.
