Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly become the first club to make an official approach to Burnley for Kieran Trippier.
Kyle Walker's injury problems in the last 18 months are believed to have persuaded Mauricio Pochettino to look at other right-backs, while the England international has previously been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.
According to The Mirror, Spurs see Trippier as the ideal candidate and have contacted the Clarets to discuss a deal for the 24-year-old.
Trippier's fine form was one of the positives to take from a campaign which ended in relegation for Burnley, and the defender is reported to have a £3.5m release clause in his contract.
Liverpool and Aston Villa are also rumoured to be interested.
