Tottenham Hotspur are said to be planning a move for Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas revealed last week that he was hoping to sign a "creative player" before the end of the summer transfer window.
His main target was believed to be Porto's Joao Moutinho, however the Portuguese international is likely to be priced out of a move to White Hart Lane.
According to the London Evening Standard, Pjanic, 22, is valued by Roma at £12m and the Serie A club could be willing to sell him, providing they retain the services of Daniele De Rossi.
Pjanic has been capped 31 times at senior international level, scoring four goals.
