Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao to replace Benoit Assou-Ekotto, according to a report.
The Cameroon international will leave White Hart Lane in the summer and has been linked with a move to Monaco.
If Spurs can secure Champions League qualification with a top-four finish in the Premier League, then manager Andre Villas-Boas has outlined Coentrao as his top target, reports The People.
However, should Tottenham not finish in the top four, Danny Rose, who is currently on loan at Sunderland, will start next season as Spurs' first-choice left-back.
