Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min is reportedly considering his future with the North London club.

The 30-year-old has consistently produced for the Lilywhites since making the move from Bayer Leverkusen for a £27m fee in the summer of 2015.

Son has now made 341 appearances for Tottenham in all tournaments, scoring 136 goals and setting up 76 more and taking a share of the Premier League Golden Boot with 23 strikes last season.

The South Korea international is yet to win a team trophy with Antonio Conte's side, but he committed his future to the club until 2025 back in July 2021.

However, Son has largely struggled to show his best form in the early stages of the 2022-23 season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 16 games in all tournaments.

According to Sport1, the ex-Hamburg youngster is now weighing up his future with the Premier League club, but he is unlikely to make any decision on his next career move for several months yet.

The attacker will turn 31 next July, but his only major team honour came with South Korea at the 2019 Asian Games, and he has not won a single club trophy throughout his career so far.

Should Son ultimately choose to move on from Tottenham, the report adds that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is a keen admirer of his qualities.

The Champions League holders currently have Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde battling for the wide roles, while Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema is expected to extend his contract beyond 2023.

However, Marco Asensio - another soon-to-be free agent - could depart Los Blancos at the end of the season, which would open up a space in Ancelotti's attacking ranks for Son to join.

Son will be expected to form a two-man strikeforce with Harry Kane for the impending visit of Sporting Lisbon in Wednesday's Champions League Group D clash, where a win would see Conte's side advance to the knockout rounds.

While the South Korea captain has managed to stay fit this season, Conte's attacking ranks have been depleted due to injuries to Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski since the international break.

Kulusevski's hamstring problem is proving more challenging to overcome than first thought, and he is not guaranteed to be back in action before the World Cup begins.

Meanwhile, Richarlison will hope that his calf problem heals up in time for the Qatar tournament, where Son's South Korea will take on Uruguay, Ghana and Portugal in Group H.

Son has been powerless to prevent Tottenham from falling to back-to-back Premier League defeats to Manchester United and Newcastle United over the past week, but the Lilywhites remain third in the table - two points clear of the Magpies and Chelsea, who have a game in hand. body check tags ::
