Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are reportedly among a number of clubs who are contemplating a bid for River Plate winger Julian Alvarez.

River Plate winger Julian Alvarez has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the brightest prospects in his homeland, contributing seven goals and four assists from just 11 league outings this season.

While River Plate can count upon the newly-capped Argentina international for the remainder of the year, Alvarez's contract is due to expire at the end of 2022.

According to Calciomercato, Spurs and Villa are both monitoring the situation ahead of making an approach during one of the upcoming transfer windows.

Both teams have international teammates of Alvarez's in their respective squads, something which could prove decisive when the player makes a decision regarding his future.

AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be interested in the £20m-rated attacker. body check tags ::
