Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
After failing to earn promotion to the Premier League, Villa are in desperate need to raise funds and the sale of Grealish is regarded as the easiest route to get their finances back on track.
Spurs have been frequently linked with a move for the England Under-21 international since the end of the campaign, and according to the Daily Mail, the North Londoners are 'clear frontrunners' to sign the 22-year-old.
However, the report suggests that the two clubs remain at odds over a transfer fee, with Villa looking to receive £30m for the exit of their most prized asset.
As it stands, Spurs are unwilling to match that valuation, leaving open the possibility of any transfer being dragged out over the coming weeks.
Last season, Grealish contributed three goals and six assists from 30 outings in the Championship.
