Tottenham Hotspur are close to securing a loan deal for Sporting Lisbon full-back Miguel Lopes, according to reports.
The 27-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Lyon, is being offered to European clubs on a temporary basis once more as the Portuguese side look to offload his high wages.
The Daily Mail reports that Spurs are willing to pay his wages, as they prepare for the loss of Kyle Naughton, who has been linked with a move to Swansea City.
Lopes's move to Spurs is dependent on the inclusion of an option-to-buy agreement between to the two clubs.
