Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that chairman Daniel Levy is "working hard" to sign the player that "we want", which is believed to be West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino.
The Argentine coach has made no secret of the fact that he wants another striker to support Harry Kane.
The North London outfit have already made their interest in Berahino known when their initial bid was rejected by the Baggies last week.
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are expected to increase their offer from £18m to around £24m this week in the hope of sealing a deal.
"The chairman Daniel Levy is working hard," the newspaper quotes Pochettino as saying. "He is trying to bring in the player that we want and I think that we have confidence in him. I trust him."
Tottenham are yet to win a Premier League game this season following a defeat and two draws.
