Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly worried that they will be unable to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot at the end of the season.
Rabiot was widely expected to leave PSG during the January transfer window, having refused to sign a new contract with the French champions.
The 23-year-old ultimately remained in Paris beyond the January deadline, but his deal will expire this summer and a number of clubs have been linked with a move.
Rabiot, who refused to be on France's standby list for the 2018 World Cup, has made 20 appearances in all competitions for PSG this season but has not featured for the club since the turn of the year.
According to the Daily Star, Tottenham were hopeful that they would be able to land Rabiot on a free transfer at the end of the season, but the London club now believe that the midfielder will join Liverpool or Barcelona.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Rabiot, who played under Gunners boss Unai Emery at PSG.
