Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly ended negotiations with Real Sociedad regarding a potential deal for Willian Jose.
Last week, it was claimed that Spurs had identified the Brazilian as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, who is sidelined until April with a hamstring injury.
However, despite suggestions that the 28-year-old is keen on a move to North London, the two clubs have remained far apart regarding a fee.
According to AS, Spurs have accepted that they will not reach a positive conclusion to discussions, resulting in them withdrawing their interest.
The report claims that Sociedad are not prepared to accept less than €30m (£25.29m), a figure which Spurs refuse to pay for a player who may ultimately act as backup to Kane.
The attacker has contributed eight goals from 20 appearances in La Liga this season.
