Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with Manchester City over a deal for centre-back John Stones.
The 26-year-old endured a frustrating 2019-20 campaign for Pep Guardiola's side, with his appearances severely restricted due to injury.
Furthermore, the England international has seen Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias arrive at the Etihad this summer, while the club has also been linked with Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho's side have got in touch with City to enquire about his availability on a loan deal with a view to a permanent £20m transfer.
The newspaper claims that Stones is not interested in a move at this stage, however, and "wants to remain at City until told he is no longer needed".
Stones has won back-to-back Premier League titles, the FA Cup and two EFL Cups with City since his arrival from Everton in 2016.
