Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari as a potential transfer target.
Having signed Swansea City's Joe Rodon during the summer window, Spurs are now well stocked for options in the centre of defence.
However, according to 90 min, Jose Mourinho is still keen to strengthen in that area of the pitch at the midway point of the campaign.
The report claims that Spurs are monitoring the development of Ferrari, who has starred for Sassuolo during the opening months of the campaign.
The Italian outfit had held second position in Serie A with an eight-match unbeaten streak until the home defeat to Inter Milan at the weekend.
Mourinho is allegedly able to allocate £15m to signing a new centre-back, a factor which has led to his interest in Ferrari.
