Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly opened talks with Roma over a move for winger Erik Lamela.
The Premier League club are understood to have put the 21-year-old Argentine at the top of their transfer targets, regardless of whether Gareth Bale joins Real Madrid.
Spurs officials are now in preliminary discussions with the Serie A side ahead of a possible move, according to Goal.com.
Lamela joined Roma from River Plate in 2011 for around £10m.
