Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to offer Harry Kane the chance to sign a new contract worth £330,000 a week, with the striker confirming that he will not be joining Manchester City this summer.
Kane has been a leading target for the Citizens in the current market but revealed on Wednesday afternoon that he will not be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the deadline.
The England captain still has three years left to run on his £230,000-a-week deal with Spurs, but according to The Sun, Tottenham are wary of the same situation occurring in January or next summer.
As a result, the report claims that the North London club want to offer the 28-year-old the opportunity to pen a new contract until June 2027, which would be worth £330,000 a week.
Spurs are believed to have made it clear to Man City that they were not prepared to listen to offers of under £150m for the Englishman during this summer's transfer window.
Kane enjoyed an excellent 2020-21 campaign at club level, scoring 33 times and registering 17 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.
The forward made his first outing of the new season as a late substitute in Tottenham's 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend. body check tags ::
