Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly determined to add 'youth and pace' to his defence this summer as part of a £120m spending spree.
Spurs only have the joint-sixth best defensive record in the Premier League this season and allowed experienced left-back Danny Rose to join Newcastle United during the January transfer window.
Jan Vertonghen will see his contract expire this summer, meanwhile, and according to The Express, Mourinho wants to spend £120m improving his ageing backline ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The report claims that Benfica's Ruben Dias, Bournemouth's Nathan Ake, Norwich City's Max Aarons, Nice's Youcef Atal and Leicester City's Ben Chilwell will all be targeted by the club.
The London club are likely to face competition from Liverpool and Manchester City should they move for Dias, though, while Chelsea are thought to still have first option on Ake.
Spurs are currently sixth in the Premier League table, four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea with 13 league matches left to play before the end of the season.
