Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Lassana Diarra looks set to end in failure as AC Milan close in on his signature.
The Frenchman had been linked with a move to White Hart Lane while Harry Redknapp was in charge, but the 27-year-old's agent has now revealed that the Rossoneri are in pole position to land the Real Madrid midfielder.
"Diarra is now on holiday in the US," said Ernesto Bronzetti. "However, as soon as he is back, he'll find an agreement with Milan."
Fenerbahce are also in the mix to land Diarra and are understood to have sent officials to Madrid in order to thrash out a deal.
