Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as a possible January addition.
After signing Gedson Fernandes and Steven Bergwijn, Spurs are being strongly linked with a number of strikers as they bid to replace the injured Harry Kane.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Jose Mourinho remains keen on strengthening the centre of his midfield.
The report claims that Hojbjerg is on the Portuguese's radar after an impressive period of form for the rejuvenated Saints.
While Ralph Hasenhuttl will not want to sell the 24-year-old, the Dane has less than 18 months remaining on his contract.
Much could depend on whether Southampton are able to bring in a like-for-like replacement.
