Sunderland's bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone has reportedly stalled due to their refusal to meet Spurs' valuation of the player.
Paolo Di Canio's side have been tracking the 26-year-old for most of the summer and looked to be close to securing his services after reportedly agreeing a fee with Andre Villas-Boas's team.
However, the deal has hit a snag as the Black Cats are now only willing to pay £3m for the England international, which falls short of Tottenham's £5m valuation.
Fulham also have a reported interest in the midfielder and Spurs are hopeful that a biding war will ensue as both clubs try to secure his signature, reports The Express.
Huddlestone made 28 appearances for Villas-Boas's side last season.
