Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old has struggled to make his mark on the La Viola team in the 2021-22 season, playing 11 games in Serie A but starting just one of them.
Amrabat is currently on duty with the Morocco team at the Africa Cup of Nations, but the former Hellas Verona man is thought to be edging closer to a January exit amid his lack of game time.
According to Viola News, Tottenham and Fiorentina have now reached an agreement over a loan deal for Amrabat, and Spurs will also have an option to buy for €15m (£12.6m) at the end of the season.
The report adds that Amrabat is yet to give the green light to the move, but there is confidence from both sides that a deal will go through, with Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici both 'great admirers' of the midfielder.
Amrabat has not registered a single goal or assist in 45 games for Fiorentina since arriving in January 2020 but played the full 90 minutes in two of Morocco's AFCON group-stage matches against Comoros and Gabon. body check tags ::
