Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the past, while West Ham United and Stoke City are also thought to be interested in the striker.
However, The Times reports that Spurs now lead the race having scouted the Belgium international extensively during the 2015-16 campaign.
Batshuayi scored 17 goals and created six more for Marseille last term, earning him a place in the Belgium squad for this summer's European Championship.
He is likely to cost Tottenham in excess of £25m after West Ham and Stoke both reportedly saw big-money bids rejected by the French outfit.
Spurs have also been linked with a move for AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen, although manager Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be interested in both players rather than choosing one or the other.
