Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to complete the £30m transfer of Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg.
The North London club have been busy in the summer window since appointing Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach last month.
They have recruited goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and midfielder James Maddison from Empoli and Leicester City respectively.
Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro have both converted their loan deals into permanent transfers, while Manor Solomon is also set to join the club.
Tottenham have agreed a five-year contract with the 23-year-old, who is permitted under FIFA rules to terminate his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk and sign on a free transfer due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Solomon would become Tottenham's fifth signing of the summer, and he could be quickly followed through the door by their sixth addition.
According to journalist John Cross, Tottenham are set to complete the signing of Van de Ven from Wolfsburg for a £30m fee.
With Davinson Sanchez expected to leave the club, the addition of Van de Ven would bolster Postecoglou's defensive options.
Dutch reporter Mike Verweij has revealed that the defender has agreed terms on a five-year deal with Spurs until the summer of 2028.
The Netherlands Under-21 international came through the academy ranks at Volendam, before going on to make 48 appearances for the senior side.
Since completing a move to Wolfsburg in the summer of 2021, the centre-back has featured in 41 matches, chipping in with one goal and three assists.
Van de Ven might not be the only centre-back to join Spurs this summer after Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed that they were in talks with Tottenham over a permanent deal for Clement Lenglet.
The Frenchman recently returned to the Catalan giants after spending the 2022-23 campaign on loan with the North London side. body check tags ::
