Tottenham Hotspur have taken their summer spending spree past £100m with the capture of Christian Eriksen from Ajax.
The Danish playmaker moves to White Hart Lane for a reported fee of £11.5m and is Spurs' third signing of the day following the arrivals of Vlad Chiriches and Erik Lamela.
Ajax allowed the Lillywhites permission to speak to the 21-year-old on Wednesday, and he has since agreed personal terms and passed a medical in North London.
"We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Christian Eriksen," Spurs confirmed on their official website.
Eriksen, who scored 33 times in 161 games for the Eredivise club after debuting as an 18-year-old, will help fill the void that will potentially be left by Real Madrid-bound Gareth Bale.
It is thought that the Welshman will finally be able to complete his protracted world-record switch to Los Blancos now that Spurs have brought in Eriksen and Lamela.
